Welcome to Chickadee!
Chickadee is a collaborative maternity care clinic based in Dawson Creek, BC. We would like to acknowledge that Chickadee is located on the traditional territory of Treaty 8 First Nations. At Chickadee, we respect pregnancy as a state of health, and promote decision making as a shared responsibility between you and your care providers. We practice informed choice, and respect you as the primary decision maker. We look forward to caring for you through this time!

We are a team of doctors, midwives and nurses who are passionate about providing person-centred care throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. Our care providers embrace a holistic approach and appreciate the complex social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychological, and physical ramifications of each reproductive health experience.
Our Mission
We believe that pregnancy is a state of health, and that childbirth is a normal physiologic process and a profound event. We strive to be care providers who respect and support birthing people, so they may give birth safely with power and dignity. Our purpose is to provide safe respectful maternity care to our community, and to facilitate connections with allied community services and resources.
