I am thankful for the opportunity to work with the team of professionals at the Chickadee maternity Collaborative clinic. I’ve enjoyed working with the lovely people at the Dawson Creek health unit since May. When I’m not working I spend as much time as possible with my two wonderful children. I think that this new clinic is going to be a blessing to our community

MB ChB, DFM, CCFP.
Primary and advanced obstetrics, operative delivery.
I joined the Mile Zero clinic in 2017. Born and raised in South Africa, we relocated to Canada in 2010.
When I was in the 9th grade I first fell in love with medicine, especially maternal fetal medicine. I realized early on in my education and career that I had a passion for Women’s Health, Obstetrics and newborn care. There is a very special feeling that comes with the care of a patient during the journey of pregnancy, delivery and the first moments of celebration of a new life.
During my down time, I cherish spending it with my husband and two beautiful children. We love playing UNO, running around outside with our dogs, quadding, spending time with friends or just relaxing while we watch a movie.
We are very excited that our vision for Chickadee are coming to life. Thank you to everyone involved and I look forward to the journey we are about to embark on!

Dr. Simon Peter Eriki
MBBCH CCFP OS.
Born and raised in Uganda. College, University Medical degree and training in South Africa. Moved to Alberta in 2010. Worked in Falher as a family physician covering emergency in Sacred heart hospital in Mclennan. In 2017 I pursued a 1year residency training through the University of Alberta in Fort McMurray. The focus of the program was in enhanced surgical skills and obstetrics. On completion I moved to High Prairie to help set up and run their surgical and obstetrics program.
I prefer to consider myself passionate about everything family medicine related. A day that involves discharging a new born baby to her mother and discharging a 102 year old to her daughter, fascinates me and I love it. My new interest is in aviation and flying. I spend my time off reading and practicing how to fly. I want to believe that our futures are not confined to just planet earth. So, yes I am a dreamer and hope Dawson creek will indulge me for many years.

I am excited to be joining the Chickadee team to better serve the South Peace Region. One of my favorite parts of my job is witnessing the profound power of birth, and how it impacts families. I feel honored to be with you on this journey, and I look forward to getting to know you!
